Mudgeeraba Seafoods is located at Bell Central Shopping Centre, Mudgeeraba, and specialises in high quality, fresh cooked seafoods, fish and chips, beef, chicken, fish and vegie burgers and awesome calamari and chippies. In addition, we prepare a variety of fresh salads every day including Asian Garden Salad, Greek, Caesar, Potato, Coleslaw, Broccoli, Rice, Cold Roast Vegies, Seafood Salad and others which include Vegan options. We also have awesome English-style milkshakes, Slush and Iced Coffee Frappe.

Whilst we are Take-Away, we do have some tables and comfortable chairs for those who wish dine-in or just relax. We are renowned for our high quality food and as being friendly and awesome! So don’t be shy! Come on by! Advance orders welcomed!

PETER HAWKES

Formally a celebrated media man, with history as a Film Maker, Journalist, Writer, Producer and Director as well as extensive experience in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations – Peter, now semi-retired, works in the family business looking after all things media and of course does a wonderful job as Chief Checkout Chick!

“I retired due to poor health in 2005 and whilst recuperating I met my current Boss, Peisie! in the Terrigal area in NSW. We married in 2009 and relocated to the Gold Coast in 2015, together purchasing Mudgeeraba Seafood. What a ride! We love the business and I enjoy working with Peisie and communicating with our customers from all over the Gold Coast and Australia, and of course the many tourists who visit our shop from all over the world. You’ve got to love Google! When on the phone to a new customer one dark and rainy evening, I asked her if she knew the location of the shop, and she replied, yes! I then said how will you know when you have arrived? She replied, I’ve been told to look for the clown behind the counter! That of course was aimed at me!”

PEISIE HAWKES

Born in Malaysia, I studied and practiced Interior Design for Ten Years before moving to Australia in 2007.

In the New South Wales seaside village of Terrigal I learned my Fish and Chips cooking skills and eventually managed a very popular Seafood Cafe there. One of my customers, Peter Hawkes, eventually asked me out on a date! The rest is history! We married in September of 2009.

Keen to own our own Cooked Seafoods Business, we relocated to the Gold Coast and purchased Mudgeeraba Seafood in November 2015. I can now boast that I am my Husband’s Boss!! And he doesn’t make a bad Checkout Chick!! and also handles all of the media and marketing for the business.

We are blessed to have such a wonderful crew of girls who keep everything ship shape especially when we are so busy that we don’t have time to think!!

We love Mudgeeraba Seafoods and enjoy the everyday interactions with our regular customers and seem to have a never ending stream of new faces heading our way.

It is our goal, not only to serve the most palatable food to the public, but also to make Mudgeeraba Seafoods a place for our community to meet, to share stories and to create good vibes; to engage in conversations with newly made friends, as if old mates, enjoying laughter and warmth and peace, then leaving the shop moved, touched and inspired by their experience

TINA JENSEN

Tina is a single mother of Danish descent and whilst she is not fluent in Dansk speak, she does “listen” fluently!!

“I have worked in the hospitality industry for more than eighteen years covering various roles and have worked at Mudgeeraba Seafood since 2016. It has been a wonderful experience. Mudgeeraba Seafoods ethics are beyond reproach and Peter & Peisie look after me well. It has been a pleasure being able to work with them! and now I am the Boss when the Boss and the Bosses Boss are away.”
