Who we are
Mudgeeraba Seafood is located on School Street at Mudgeeraba, and specialises in high quality, fresh cooked seafoods, fish and chips, beef, chicken, fish and vegie burgers and awesome calamari and chippies. Too, we prepare a variety of fresh salads every day including Asian Salad, Greek, Caesar, Potato, Coleslaw, Broccoli, Rice and others which include VEGAN OPTIONS. We also have excellent coffee – anyway you like it – and awesome English-style milkshakes.
We are Take-Away BUT we do have some tables and comfortable chairs for those who wish dine-in or just relax. We are renowned for our high quality food and as being friendly and awesome! Don’t be shy! Come on by! Advance orders welcomed!

Once a colourful media man, with history as a Film Maker, Journalist, Writer, Producer and Director as well as extensive experience in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations – Peter, now semi-retired, works in the family business looking after all things media and of course does a wonderful job as Chief Checkout Chick!
Peter Said, “I retired due to poor health in 2005 and whilst recuperating I met my current Boss, Peisie! in the Terrigal area in NSW. We married in 2009 and relocated to the Gold Coast in 2015, together purchasing Mudgeeraba Seafood. What a ride! We love the business and I enjoy working with Peisie and communicating with our customers from all over the Gold Coast and Australia, and of course the many tourists who visit our shop from all over the world. You’ve got to love Google! When on the phone to a new customer one dark and rainy evening, I asked her if she knew the location of the shop, and she replied, yes! I then said how will you know when you have arrived? She replied, I’ve been told to look for the clown behind the counter! That of course was aimed at me!”
Tina is a single mother to a beautiful 5 yr old girl. She is studying to be a nurse and is planning on a career in Mental Health Services. Tina is of Danish decent and whilst she is not fluent in Dansk speak, she listens fluently!!
Tina said, “I have worked in the hospitality industry for more than fifteen years covering various roles. The past three years with Mudgeeraba Seafoods have been a wonderful experience. Mudgeeraba Seafoods ethics are beyond reproach and Peter & Peisie look after me well. It has been a pleasure being able to work with them!”
Jasmin is 14 years old and a Year 9 student. She is the Junior Club Captain at Surfers Paradise Surf Club and a patrolling member. Jasmin participates in the academic excellence program at school and wishes to one day become a paediatric surgeon. Jasmin is extremely bright and has become an established member of the Mudgeeraba Seafoods team.
Jasmin said, “It’s fun working at Mudgeeraba Seafoods and learning new skills. Peisie is very patient and is a masterful teacher”.
Jorja is a university student studying for a Bachelor of Psychological Science. After graduating she aspires to become a Child Safety Support Officer. This is due to her passion for helping those in need. Jorja enjoys working with and meeting new people from different walks of life.
Jorja said, “Working at Mudgeeraba Seafoods has been totally inspiring and I have learned so much. I find it easier to be around people & customers whom I don’t know and have grown my communication skills exponentially. I have also learned so many things from my bosses Peisie and Peter, especially in relation to food preparation! And working here in this environment is really so much fun”.
Dahlia is a university student studying a double-degree in International Business and International Relations. After graduating, Dahlia hopes to find a career position within research and foreign affairs, due to her interest in these fields. Dahlia was born in Australia, but her parents are from Israel and Denmark. She is an avid traveller and has visited many places around the world.
Dahlia said, “I love working at Mudgeeraba Seafood! Peisie and Peter are so easy to work for. Peisie has spent many hours training and encouraging me to be my best and Peter has a knack of making everybody smile!”
